During dehydration, leaves bend and fold according to the structure of their veins. When a leaf dries completely, the connection between its parts limits the bending. Making cuts in the surface allows each area to shape itself according to the vein directions and contraction processes, resulting in new forms.
This work presents fallen leaves that were cut at different locations during dehydration.
Each leaf folded into a unique structure depending on the orientation and position of the cut, its characteristics, and its drying conditions
